This site is a portal for me to share the information I gather with you.

Lulu and my daughters

My name is Lynne and like many of you I grew up with a dog as part of our family. He was a little toy poodle named Tippi; I loved that dog with every fiber of my being. A favorite memory I still have to this day of Tippi is when my mother would send him in to wake me in the morning. I could hear him super excited and barking outside of my door and she was getting him riled up to come in, jump on my bed, and slather me with kisses. But as soon as my mother opened the door he jumped into bed; curled up in the crook of my knees; and went to sleep. A fail for mom but a score for me and Tippi.

I am now a slightly older adult (age will not be revealed) and have a golden retriever named Maui. Prior to Maui was my first golden named Lulu. Lulu was an exceptionally beautiful and intelligent dog but unfortunately had several medical conditions. Throughout her life it was critically important that I feed her healthy foods that contained no chemicals, preservatives, artificial colors, or anything that could aggravate her already strained physical condition. This is when the importance of being conscious of what I fed my dog became glaringly obvious.

Lulu was a service dog and we did some practice training every day. Not only did she get her daily 2 meals but she enjoyed several treats throughout the day when training. Prior to Lulu, I had never really been very concerned about what ingredients were in dog treats. In my mind they were just extra little snacks for dogs to enjoy. With the number of treats Lulu received during training on top of my needing to be ever so aware of what she ate, I realized her main food was not the only food which I needed to be concerned. I became enlightened to the fact that I needed to be just as conscientious about the ingredients in her treats as I was about the ingredients in her food.

Hoping that I’m not the only one who hadn’t considered this, I’d like to help you feed your pup healthier treats by highlighting nutritious, chemical free, yummy dog treats for you to give your special furry family member. It is my goal to make it easy for you to find and purchase these healthier options for your pet.

P.S. No, I have not tried any of the treats but figure by how much Maui and friends enjoy them, they must be awesome!
