Dog Food & Treat Recall Tracker (FDA Data, Updated Daily)
Posted on September 8, 2026 • 8 min read • 1,666 wordsEvery recall and withdrawal on the FDA’s animal food list, in one place, refreshed daily.
The FDA publishes this information as a spreadsheet download behind its own site search, and it overwrites that file in place — so when a recall changes status, the previous state disappears. This page keeps a dated record of every change, and republishes the data as free JSON and CSV for anyone who needs it.
This table mirrors the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Animal & Veterinary Recalls & Withdrawals list. It covers only the window shown above. A product not listed here has not been cleared — it may simply fall outside FDA’s published range. Always confirm against the FDA page before acting.

How to use this
Check the brand and product columns against what is in your cupboard, not just the brand name. Recalls are usually limited to specific lot numbers, sizes or production dates, so a brand appearing here does not mean every product from that company is affected. Follow the link to the FDA listing for the specific lot details before discarding anything or contacting the manufacturer.
Active means FDA has not yet recorded the recall as terminated. Terminated means the recall has been closed out — the company completed the removal and FDA signed it off. A terminated recall is still worth knowing about if you have older stock.
Where this data comes from
The source is the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine’s Recalls & Withdrawals listing. This page is an independent mirror and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the FDA.
Two honest limitations worth stating plainly:
The coverage window is what it is. The table above shows the exact date range FDA currently publishes. Older recalls exist and are not in FDA’s live list; its own archive link points to a 2020 Internet Archive snapshot. If a product is not listed here, that is not a clean bill of health — it may simply predate the window.
FDA’s own endpoint is inconsistent. Repeated requests to the download return different snapshots of the table. This tracker fetches repeatedly and merges the results until the set stops growing, so the published list is the union rather than whichever partial copy happened to be served. Where snapshots disagree about whether a recall has been terminated, the more cautious reading wins and it is shown as active.
